APC Bars Members from Speaking for Party

In what seemed like a move to stave off a clash between the party's National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the Deputy, Comrade Timi Frank, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has placed an order restricting all members of the National Working Committee from speaking for it except Mohammed.
Timi Frank had recently issued statements on behalf of the party's leadership, ordering a shift in the date of the governorship primary in Bayelsa State.

He was also reported to have made statements denouncing the botched primary election scheduled for last week, Tuesday in Yenegoa which was eventually cancelled.
However, in a statement, issued on Friday by the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, APC said only the National Chairman and the National Publicity Secretary could speak for the party on national issues.
The statement reads: "It has come to the attention of the leadership of the APC that unauthorized persons have recently been issuing statements on behalf of the party"
