Appeal Court Sends Senator Osinaka Packing

George Sekibo and Olaka nwogu were not the only casualties the PDP suffered  in Abuja during the course of the appeal, as the member representing Rivers west senatorial district was also sent packing today Friday the 11th.

The court of appeal sitting in Abuja nullified the conduct of the senatorial election for Rivers west senatorial district on the 28 of march, In a ruling delivered on friday 11th December the court panel upturned the judgment of the election tribunal that upheld the election of Osinaka Ideozu of the Peoples Democratic Party as a senator for Rivers west.

Ruling was delivered based on petition filed by Otelemaba Dan Amachree who contested the Rivers south east senatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Our correspondent Ezebunwo Clifford Omachi reports that the appeal court Directed the Independent national electoral commission to conduct fresh election in Rivers west senatorial district within 60 days.
