Liverpool recalls Nigerian, Sheyi Ojo from Wolves

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has recalled forward Sheyi Ojo, from his loan spell at Wolves.

The German tactician has seen his squad ravaged by injures, with no senior centre-back currently fit.

Ojo joined Championship side, Wolves, on a season-long loan on August 3, after signing a new contract with the Anfield club.

The 18-year-old made 18 appearances for the Molineux club and scored three goals.

Wolves boss, Kenny Jackett was full of praise for Ojo, following his early departure.

“We thank Sheyi for what he has done for us and we thank Liverpool as well,” Jackett told his club’s official website.

“He had a big effect for us coming on as an impact substitute. He is still young and I think he has a big future and with time and experience will go on to become a very good player.

“I am sure the six months he has had with us will be put to good use and he will go on and progress his career.

“We have seen Jordan Graham emerge in his position and for everyone concerned I think this is the best option.

“Sheyi can now either progress with Liverpool’s U21s or go out and get a loan spell where he has more chance of playing regularly. We wish him all the best.”
