"REPORT TO YOUR DUTY POST OR FACE THE WRATH OF THE LAW" EDUCATION COMMISSIONER WARNS LEE MAEBA.

The Rivers State Commissioner of Education, Prof Ebeku has ordered Senator Lee Maeba to report to his duty post or face the full wrath of the law.

Www.newscrystal.com gathered that since the Senator was appointed as Chairman Governing Council of the Rivers State College of Arts and Science by Nyesom Wike in November 2015, he has failed or refused to attend council meetings in the college or treat the appointment with a sense of duty, yet, he has been receiving allowances and renumeration for the office.

The Senator has also been accused of not reporting to the Commissioner of Education in Rivers State out of sheer ego, something that has not gone down well with the Commissioner
The prof stated categorically that if the chairman,Governing Council of the  Rivers State College of Arts and Science doesn't appreciate his appointment and is not willing to diligently perform the functions of his office, he should honourably resign. A situation where he jettisons the functions of his office and  look down on the appointment amounts to dereliction of duty.
He also assured that the Ministry of Education under my watch will not tolerate that.
As a cabinet Commissioner, I take exception to his numerous acts of insubordination towards my office. It must be made abundantly clear that all the Governing Councils of state-owned institutions are directly under the supervision of my office", Prof Ebeku angrily said.

The Commissioner of Education is expected to do a familiarization tour of the Rivers State  College of Arts and Science today, and he expects all members of the Governing Council of the institution to be present to give him a rousing welcome.

It's not clear, however, if Senator Lee Maeba will be  on ground to receive the Commissioner today. His absence is sure to escalate the war between him and the Commissioner.
