PDP faithful burning their robes and embrassing Apc

Today turned out to be the mother of all rallies in Ikwerre LGA, as the Rerun Campaign Train did hit the ancient Trado-Royal Kingdom of Isiokpo - the head quarters of
Ikwerre Local government. The event was unique and classic for many reasons...starting from the number, calibre and glamour of dignitaries that greeted the event; The taste of class and debonair, with which the message of hope, change and liberation was sweetly delivered; The crowd of PDP Core that dumped the sinking ship of PDP for APC; The large turn out of supporters; and not to say the least, the sweet and lovely melody from both the DJ and cultural was indeed a spectacular event.

Party Leaders and Candidates on arrival, took a short walk to the nearby palace of  Chief Johnbull K. Wejinya, of Okpirinkpi Village in Isiokpo, to pay homage to him as the traditional host, as customs demand. Addressing the august visitors, the chief advised the politicians present, whom he summed as his political children to always continue with the tradition of non-violence, with which he groomed them, shuning any inclination, temptation our inducement towards political violence, as it the order the day. He noted that APC as a party is peaceful both in principles and disposition. He officially welcomed all the party candidates present - Elder Chidi Wihioka (for Ikwerre/Emohua Federal constituency seat at the House of Representative) and Hon Azubike Chikere Wanjoku (for Ikwerre constituency seat the State House of Assembly) - to the land of Isiokpo, assuring them of the blessings and massive support of the land and people respectively.

Shortly after arriving the campaign venue proper, the Candidates were decorated with a royal Apparel called 'George' as a sign of support, acceptance and solidarity. After which the Candidates took their turn to address the teeming audience, alongside other leaders from the community. In what could be likened theologically to a quick and emotional response to an 'altar call' , a crowd of decampees from PDP, under the aegis of Coalition for Change Organisation, immediately took the stage, bearing various placards that tend to announce the death of PDP in Isiokpo and the irresponsibility of the Wike-led kleptomaniac and deceptive regime. Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr Chibuike Orlu Wehuje, who was the PDP youth leader in Isiokpo, stigmatized the PDP as a hub of deciet and visionlessness. He decried a situation where the Governor, while still a minister, fought his own political boss cum benefactor, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on the ground that Rivers state cannot afford to be in opposition to the center, would now turn back to rapaciously make same Rivers State an opposition to the center...what a deception! He further questioned what moral cum rational compass and justification of a governor whose only achievement is to steal, kill, sack and destroy Rivers State and her people have to criticise a golden and globally acclaimed achiever like Amaechi, whose developmental regime turned the face and fortunes of the state for better...creating instead of sacking over 13000 jobs at a time in the
education sector, rebuilding instead of destroying the primary and secondary health and education systems in the state, to compete with global standards, etc.

Welcoming the decampees, on behalf of the Party, was the State Party Secretary - Chief Emeka Beke - who assured them of full and profitable integration into the united fold of the party, handed over to them,  brooms and other party symbols and survenirs, and personally supervising the burning of all PDP materials in their possession...before officially handing them over to the LGA party chairman - Hon Ben Odigwe - for immediate integration and follow up. Other PDP executives that were also leading decampees, include Mr Maxwell Kemkanma Mpi (PDP ward ll campaign chairperson) , Anthony Wosu Aka Lion (PDP Nkharahia chapter leader) , and Godwin Okpara (PDP youth Chairperson for Ihunwo hamlet, Adanta).
