NPFL WEEK 33 ROUND UP

Match day 33 came with no surprises as no team was able to record an away win. However Heartland and Abia Warriors both picked a point on the road.

Title rivals Rivers United moved to 2nd position with a comfortable 2-0 win over Plateau United at the Yakubu Gowon stadium in Port Harcourt. Bernard Ovoke scored from the penalty spot in the 31st minute while substitute Israel Daniel ensured victory for Rivers United when he scored in the closing minutes of the match.

Enugu Rangers dropped to fourth following a disappointing 1-0 loss against Nasarawa United at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
