SUPER EAGLES RESUME TRAINING AHEAD OF TANZANIA CLASH

The Nigeria Super Eagles have begun training ahead of their dead rubber Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania. The match is however inconsequential as the Eagles have already failed to qualify.

Present for new coach Gernot Rohr's first training session at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Tuesday were Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel, Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa, Watford’s Odion Ighalo and Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

Others were Ogenyi Onazi, Brown Ideye, Emmanuel Daniel, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Musa Muhammed, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Jamiu Alimi, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Elderson Echiejile, Wilfred Ndidi, Nosa Igiebor and Victor Osimhen.

Moses Simon and Kingsley Madu are expected on Wednesday.

Coach Gernot Rohr would see this as an opportunity to bond with the players and to begin to create team cohesion.

The match kicks off at 5pm on Saturday 3/9/16 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
