Staffs Of Asari-Toru LGA of Rivers State Cries Out For Over 4 Months Unpaid Salaries


local government workers of Asari-Toru in Rivers state have cried out for over four months unpaid salaries, our correspondent Chinedu Obiano gathered that the Caretaker Committee Chairman  paid just one month salaries after receiving over 140 Million naira allocation from the state.

Aggrieved over their unpaid salaries, the local government chairman sent a five man delegation who met with the campaign manager of Governor  Wike in ASALGA, Mr. Mpaka Longjohn to prevail on the matter for the CTC chairman to pay at least an additional one month salaries, considering the huge allocation received by the council. In response Mr Longjohn told the delegates to refer all plea to the CTC chairman who has the mandate to take care of their welfare.


The ASALGA staffs are now calling on the governor of the state his Excellency  Chief  Bar. Ezebunwo Nyesom  Wike for quick intervention as they
believe the CTC chairman have shared the money among his cronies in the Local Government.
