Rivers APC Expels Elected Member Over Anti-Party Activities

The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State have expelled its elected member Hon. Benibo Frederick Anabraba who is representing Akuku-Toru constituency II, in the Rivers state house of assembly for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.

Specifically, he was accused of breaching the constitution of the party after his emergence as the minority leader of the house against the party wish.

The affected member, who was informed through a letter dated 27th January, 2017 and signed by the state party chairman, Chief (Dr) Davies Ibiamu Ikanya jp, was shown the exit door following the recommendations of the party working committee which found him guilty of “Disobedience, anti-party activities and Negligence”.

His was alleged to have conspired with members of the PDP to bring the party to disrepute during the in house election that brought him in as the minority leader.

It will also interest you to know that the SWC of the party in its letter claimed to have invited him three (3) times for questioning but he failed to appear before the disciplinary panel.
