Rivers: Government Gives SARS One Month Quit Notice

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Obio/Akpor local government area have delivered a one month quit notice to the unit of the police Special Anti-Robbery Sqaud (SARS) residing in the local government.

Rukpokwu community is where a SARS unit of the Nigerian police command is situated.

This move is coming barely a month after Governor Wike had alleged their contribution to the insecurity of Rivers State, you would recall that the SARS commander Akin Fakorede had on a live radio program on saturday dismissed all level of allegation against their mode of operation around Port Harcourt.

As at the time of filing this report, no official statement have been released by the SARS division of the Nigerian Police command.
