PRESIDENT BUHARI PROMISES DEVELOPMENT IN NIGER DELTA

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to ensure development in the Niger Delta region of the country.




Speaking through the Senior Special Adviser(SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang, President Buhari assured total partnership with Citizens Quest, a non governmental organization(NGO) with the mandate to inform the public on Federal Government programs and projects in the Niger Delta region.

Sen.Enang stated this when the national leadership of Citizens Quest led by its President Chief Oby Ndukwe, paid a congratulatory visit to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs on Thursday September 5, 2019 in his Abuja office.

Enang, used the occasion of the visit to thanked President Buhari for his appointment and expressed delight to Chief Oby Ndukwe and the leadership of Citizens Quest for the solidarity and reaffirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s sincere commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region.

Speaking, the elated Chief Oby Ndukwe commended Senator Ita Enang for his outstanding contributions in the public service and sought for robust partnership of Citizens Quest with the Presidency as the gesture shall assist in information disseminations of federal government projects, programs and infrastructural developments in the Niger Delta Regions.

Chief Oby, intimated the Presidential Adviser about the group’s activities in the Niger Delta region and tendered the reports of the group operation since her inception about two months ago.

Responding, Sen.Enang acknowledged the vision of Citizens Quest in reporting the situation of the development in the region, and bringing to public the plight of its citizenry for urgent attention and intervention in terms of safety and economic programmes.

He promised that, the presidency will do everything possible to partner with the NGO in promoting and fast tracking developments in the Niger Delta Region.
